With catchy songs and dance actions MC J Messy is an instant hit with all ages. In each session MC J Messy enlists the congregation into the Messy crew, with their baseball caps turned backwards, ready to celebrate and worship God in a hip-hop pop style.

MC J Messy first appeared in 2019 as part of Messy Church at Dove River Church, Eye, Suffolk and has made several appearances at Messy Church, releasing songs on Spotify and performing at outreach/festival events including Lifefest (Diss, Norfolk), Souled Out (Bristol) and Pentecost Festival (Ipswich). 

Joe Aiken (aka MC J Messy) has been serving the local church in worship for over 20 years with some of his worship songs played regularly on UCB 2 Radio. The MC J Messy persona brings a unique combination of song hooks and actions into worship. This style captivates a younger audience, brings joy to all ages, and teaches and encourages the church by declaring God’s word in song.
