Kat Mills is a singer songwriter and worship leader from Surrey. Always passionate about singing, Kat was classically trained and has developed her repertoire to include singing musical theatre, pop and jazz. Writing comes as second nature – something that she does to work through life’s situations.
Kat gigs with her husband, Ali, singing a range of well-known music, her own songs and sharing her testimony and faith. Her heart is to share openly and vulnerably her story and her faith through music.
Kat released her debut album ‘Out of the Ashes’ in May 2015 combining congregational worship and songs that encourage people in their walk with God. Her second album ‘Voice of truth’ was released in June 2016, a contemporary Christian album looking at speaking truth into our lives.
Kat has just released her 3rd album ‘Work in Progress’ - a mainstream album sharing a vulnerable journey through being misunderstood, lost in translation and coming to terms with and embracing being autistic. The album received a 9/10 review from Cross Rhythms. She has also released her first book which is the stories behind the songs. Kat’s music has received considerable airplay on UCB Radio, Premier Radio and Cross Rhythms radio.
Kat can perform or lead worship at all types of events including alpha suppers, church fundraisers and outreach events. She can also lead worship workshops and song writing workshops.
“Kat is an immensely talented artist whose bubbly personality really shines through! She engaged the audience brilliantly and people were moved to both tears and laughter. A great mixture of Christian and secular songs for an energetic and memorable evening. We’ve already booked her (& Ali as they are such a communal double act!) for our next event!” Rev Sandra Prudom, Christchurch Baptist Church.
